White Water scientists have applied innovative ecological planning and management to a wide variety of ecosystems and natural resource challenges. Our multidisciplinary staff ensures consideration for an ecosystem approach to management. We prepare our plans so they can be understood and implemented by non-scientists. Our philosophical approach to resource planning and management is based in a knowledge that ecosystems are enormously complex and can respond to management in a number of ways. Therefore, monitoring outcomes of management actions is part and parcel of our prescriptions. This allows assessment of the efficacy of our plans and on-going modifications in a system of adaptive management. We prepare a variety of resource management plans including aquatic plant management plans, lake management plans, ecological forest management plans, habitat restoration plans, and invasive species management plans.
